Electron User Articles

The Acorn Electron was the BBC Micro's little brother. It was never an official BBC-badged product but it had many similarities with it's bigger brother such as the same BBC Basic programming language, similar screen modes and so on. But the idea was to offer a budget computer that people would already know most of how to use from having had experience with BBC Micros. What was missing was a little speed, expansion capability, and teletext Mode 7.
So, having developed so much software for the BBC Micro, it was a natural for me to write new software for the Electron and port a few BBC Micro programs across. At Europress most of us had responsibility for different titles and so I was an Assistant Editor of this magazine as well as a few others.
