Hospitality Companies

With the sale of my Pasadena corporation and the requirement for us to return to the UK, as our visa was only valid while running the business, my wife convinced me I should diversify and stop working behind a desk all day. I finally agreed and so we decided to purchase a Public House. Well, after buying one and seeing what fun it was, and also how profitable, we went on to buy another, and then a nightclub (which later became a B&B). We had a good few years running these but eventually we received what we felt were unrefusable offers for all three businesses and so we sold up.
Having missed the US we decided to return there and do something a little more low-key, so we set up an English Tearoom in Texas, which proved so successful we had TV, radio and newspaper coverage, the Mayor and other dignitaries were frequent visitors, as was a previous US Ambassador to London. We also hosted dinners for a large part of the Texas state legislature and a Mexican town twinning committee. And one year I was one of two organisers for their July 4th celebrations!
